What can you do to guard against Identify theft?

Use a unique password for all your accounts.

This way if one of your accounts is part of a data breach your other accounts will be remain secure. It’s much easier to change 1 password than 200.

If your debit card information is stolen, you may be out of luck and often times you’ll never see that money again. On the other hand, credit cards are insured and you’ll be reimbursed for fraudulent charges.

If you notice fraudulent charges on a card or if a company that you have an account with experiences a data breach you should contact customer right away in order to protect your information and learn about the extent of the breach.
